Love is ...

Love is indescribable when we first feel it,
it leaves us longing to hold on to it.

It makes us weak in its wake and,
leaves us empty when our heart it breaks.

Concert in Houston, TX!

Oh my, I have NO idea where to even begin! LMAO!

First off I want to thank you a good friend of mine T {He asked not to be publicly mentioned} for setting everything up, the trip, hotel, food, and also the seats up in the very front and center of the stage {Best seats in the villa by far!}. This was my reward for my recent 85lb weight loss over the past year {Thanks all goes to Reshape the Nation and to JP for putting up with me, lol!}. What more could a girl ask for?!

The concert was held at a real nice place called, The Woodlands Center {See link} The Woodlands Center in Houston, TX  After was another plus, there's always something nice to say about most all Motel 6's {Except the one in Kanawha City, WV, it needs a serious renovation and employee turn-a-round!}.

My only real issues/complaints were having to leave JP and Nick at home, neither was interested in going and second I HATE crossing bridges of ANY kind and there were 2 of them!!!

In all my honest guilt though, I feel 16 again! LMAO! It's been since the 90's since I've been to a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert! And believe me when I tell you they only get better with time! Just like a fine whiskey, the older it is, the more potent and tasty it is ;-) I can't wait to get my pictures from the concert off my phone so I can share any that turned out half decent ;-)

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention that ZZ Top was the opening act, and still as strange and awesome as ever! :-)

Below I listed the songs as they were done {At least to the best of my memory ;-)}

Set List

  • Listen To Her Heart
  • You Don't Know How It Feels
  • I Won't Back Down
  • Free Fallin'
  • Oh Well
  • Mary Jane's Last Dance
  • Kings Highway
  • Breakdown
  • Jefferson Jericho Blues
  • Good Enough
  • Running Man's Bible
  • I Should Have Known It
  • Learning To Fly
  • Don't Come Around Here No More
  • Refugee

Encore

  • Runnin' Down A Dream
  • American Girl
A lot of great ones performed, a lot of oldies/newbies left out, but realistically it would be impossible for them to cover every great hit they've ever had and all the new ones too. I would have loved to hear 'Louisiana Rain' but I believe there was just enough of everything from through-out the years to make everyone happy...At least I can vouch that I'm one happy, glowing chic right now, lol!

I could go on and on and on about it, lol! But I'll spare you the twisted, perverted mind of a drooling teenage girl that's buried deep inside my mental psych, lol!

Have a Great Week ahead folks....My next blog will cover the reasons behind our decision to change our family surname and JP's {DJ's} decision to change both his first and middle name as well.... Hope to see you all there!

Peace be with you all...

Welcome to Musings from the Bayou!

I just wanted to take a moment and welcome everyone to my blog. This is not my first blog, I am actually quite familiar with the blogging world. However most of the blogs I partake in are professional or associated with my pseudonym/pen name, Angela Hart. Although I am pleased to say this is my first personal blog.

My ultimate goal with this blog is to allow people the chance to get to know me and my little family. We aren't what a lot of folks would call outward, or even sociable but we aren't anti-social either. We just prefer our privacy on several levels and on a great deal of matters and want to avoid the drama that comes with the extreme social scene.

I can't promise this will be an exciting, hair raising {or pulling} journey through our lives but I can promise it will be as forward, honest and forthright as possible.

Best part is, everyone is welcome here, even if I don't know you, please feel free to read and comment on anything. It's how friendships are started and built.

Okie folks, I have a couple major things I want to touch base on today here. One of them being the reasoning behind our surname change and my hubbies first/middle name change. And last but certainly not least I want to cover last Friday night's Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert I attended in Houston, TX. OMG! It was one of the best!

So hang tight, stay tuned...They'll be more coming your way shortly!

Peace be with you all!
